A project with some unique site challenges, the recreation center site sat adjacent to a sensitive wetland habitat that included two vernal pools. The backside of the site was planted with native plants and surface runoff was diverted away from the wetland area and into bio-swales on the far side of the pool. The recreation center features a large community pool, a two-sided fireplace and cooking center, and an outdoor gathering space with a large steel I-Beam Trellis with suspended light strings. The plant palette was chosen to help compliment the landscape being used throughout the community and includes roses and succulents to help give pops of color and architectural accents.
