Part of a larger master planned community, designing for multiple users and uses was critical to the design. Ontario Park features a large covered play area, a fenced in dog park, hammock area, and a large planted retention and infiltration basin for stormwater capture. A large heritage tree surrounded by picnic tables was placed to help anchor a part of the park and provide a centerpiece and gathering space for the whole community. Drought tolerant and native plants were chosen to help accent and enclose the various elements within the park as well as help filter and treat the stormwater that enters the basin.
